How expensive is PPF? Some cost saving tips to protect your car!

Getting PPF fitted professionally is EXPENSIVE! Well... depending on who you go to and the product you get it's likely to cost you between £1800-£2500 for a front end PPF fit. Not cheap!

But, then again, it all comes down to the job you want doing and the time you have available to you.

We've gone ahead and compiled a list of ways you can save money on your PPF kit or cost saving ways to protect your cars paintwork.

Tip 1) If you're looking to protect your car, but don't want to pay for the full cost of PPF then a great option is to ceramic coat your car. Ceramic coatings are amazing and essentially provide an invisible layer of protection to your car. Having a detailer apply a ceramic coating often costs around £300, clearly a much cheaper way of getting your car protected from some of the lighter damage usage can cause.

Tip 2) Limit the amount of PPF you have fitted. Another option for reducing the cost of protecting your car, could be having a reduced amount of PPF fitted to your car. Most people want a full front end, or track pack fitting but in reality, if you're not using your car for track days or group driving, you might be able to get away with much less. Perhaps just the worse effected areas such as the front bumper or even the first half of the bonnet.

Tip 3) Of course, our favourite! Go for a DIY PPF kit! At a fraction of the cost, a DIY PPF kit could be the perfect solution to comprehensively protecting your car for much less than it would cost for a professional fitter to fit PPF. Our kits range from around £350-£500 with the average kit coming in at around £400. All you need, is a little patience and a free weekend on your hands. Applying PPF to your car is a thoroughly rewarding experience and once done, you'll have benefitted from protecting your car for a fraction of the cost.
