If you have a large kitchen/dining room table, a folding table or clean pasting table, this is a perfect place to layout your PPF.
Alternatively, a large clean floor can be used.
When you lay it out, make sure the glossy PPF is faced up, and the matte white backing sheet is faced down
Typically, the PPF will come on large backing sheets, the maximum length of which will be around 4m.
If you don't have space to lay it out, that's not a problem, we'll run through in the next step how we can separate out all the pieces into more manageable sections so you're able to decide where to start.
Lesson Summary
In preparation for working with a Paint Protection Film (PPF), it is advised to have ample space to lay out the film. Here are some key points to consider:
A decent sized table space is recommended for laying out the film. If you don't have a large table, a dining room table with at least 1.5 meters of width can suffice. Laying the film on the floor is an option, but it increases the risk of contamination. If using the floor, unroll one end with a friend to inspect the film without tightly rolling it. A large kitchen or dining room table, a folding table, or a clean pasting table are ideal surfaces for laying out PPF. Ensure the glossy side of the PPF faces up, with the matte white backing sheet facing down. The PPF typically comes on large backing sheets, with a maximum length of around 4 meters. If space is limited, the film pieces can be separated into more manageable sections for ease of handling.
