DIY PPF Academy Lesson 8 - Preparing slip and tack

We'll explain later what the slip solution and tack solutions are used for and how to use them, but for now, let's get them ready to go!

Tack Solution

In your application kit, find, your tack solution spray bottle, and tack solution concentrate.

Pour tack solution concentrate into the bottle and mix with water. The ratio of tack solution concentrate to water should be 1 to 5. That is 1 part tack solution concentrate to 5 parts water.

If you can use distilled water, do, if you don't have access to distilled water then tap water is suitable.

Slip Solution

Find the slip solution spray bottle and slip solution concentrate. In the bottle, pour half a cap full of slip solution concentrate, it should be 4 drops or so. Top the rest up with water or distilled water and shake well.

You can always top up with water or more slip concentrate as required.
