DIY PPF Academy Lesson 22 - Wrapping the edges

After leaving the bonnet edges to dry off for some time, they naturally have fallen into place and are sticky meaning they will wrap around.

Attempting to tuck the edges the night before would not have been effective as they wouldn't have stayed down.
Laying the edges down gradually when wrapping round is recommended to avoid introducing air into them.
Letting the bonnet fully dry out will really help ensure they go down smoothly.
Using a heat gun to expedite the process is possible, but it's advised to avoid rushing through it.

Allowing a good couple of days for the process of fitting the PPF and ensuring the car won't be needed is preferable.
Allowing time for the heat to settle, double-checking the work, and being patient is crucial.
It's tempting to keep working on it and finish a panel before moving on, but patience is key to achieving a smooth finish.

Resisting the urge to fully finish a panel before moving on is important; it's better to accept the need for breaks and allow the film to dry and become tacky.
Ultimately, taking time and allowing the material to settle will lead to a successful outcome.
Working methodically and giving the process the necessary time will lead to a well-sealed bonnet.
