DIY PPF Academy Lesson 16 - Selecting which part to start with

When deciding where to start with applying film on a vehicle such as a Porsche 911, consider starting with an easy, small piece like the roof bra to get familiar with how the material works. It's a simple part with a nice easy alignment, making it a good starting point to understand the process.

Start with the roof bra or similarly small and easy part as it is easy to align and work with.
Move on to the wings on either side and then tackle the bonnet.
Avoid starting with the bumper or low down parts to prevent material running down and risking contamination.
By starting high and finishing low, you can minimise the risk of potential issues with the application process. This approach allows you to build up your skills gradually and work on larger, more complex parts of the vehicle with confidence.
